I was a bi-vocational pastor in Herlong, California. I was working my job that day. I was assigned to the Police Dispatch Desk, as the Desk Sgt. I was monitoring the radios in the background and one radio stated that the Shuttle had exploded. I thought it was a joke. I had the TV in the squad room turned on and we saw the replays over and over of the explosion. I will never forget it. I dispatched the info to our patrols and we were in shock like the rest of the nation.
